Louis van Gaal has admitted that David de Gea’s future at Manchester United remains in the goalkeeper’s hands amid reported transfer interest from Real Madrid.
De Gea has continually been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu outfit in recent months after seeing himself nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award following some fine performances for the Red Devils this term.
Despite Van Gaal revealing in January that he expected the Spaniard to extend his current deal, which runs out in 2016, De Gea has so far failed to put pen to paper on a new contract.
