Season reviews since the 2005 Play Off final

The 30th of May 2015 will mark the ten-year anniversary since West Ham’s Play Off Final victory over Preston North End in 2005. Bobby Zamora’s goal at the Millennium Stadium feels like it was just yesterday,
yet a decade has passed which has provided plenty of ups and downs for the claret and blue faithful. So lets remind ourselves of an eventful ten-year journey in East London.

2005/2006
The Hammers returned to Premier League after a two-year absence. Dean Ashton and Yossi Benayoun were notable arrivals as the club looked to avoid relegation in their first season back in the big time.
The worry of relegation quickly diminished as West Ham stormed to a 9th place finish, their most successful Premier League campaign to date, whilst securing a place in the FA Cup final against Liverpool.
